I have provided consultation or clinical supervision for
many years. I am an approved supervisor in the state of Washington and
meet the qualifications specified in WAC 246-809-234. Please contact
me at 206-352-0363 to learn more about my services or to schedule an
appointment. If you are interested in becoming an approved supervisor,

The distinction between supervision and consultation is an important one.
Clinical supervisors are legally responsible for the actions of their
supervisees. Thus, clinical supervisors can insist on a course of
action, review files, etc. They are expected to document their
supervision because they have a fiduciary responsibility and are
vicariously liable for the actions of their supervisees. In contrast,
consultants are not responsible for the work of those for whom they consult. Information sharing is voluntary, and the consultee can choose to
implement the suggestions or not. Documentation of the consultation
is not required, and the consultant does not have a fiduciary
responsibility, nor any liability.Need Consultation?
I can consult on an "as needed" basis or, if you prefer, we can schedule
regular ongoing appointments. Consultation should help you clarify what
is going on with your client(s), and give you a better idea how to
proceed when you are feeling stuck or confused. I consult on a variety
of topics including working with Axis II diagnoses, addictions, adult
giftedness, dual diagnoses and private practice development. Please
contact me to find out more, or to schedule an appointment.Need Clinical Supervision?
I find it meaningful and gratifying to help mentor the next generation of
clinicians through clinical supervision. Through our work together, you
can expect a greater sense of confidence in your clinical skills. We
will focus on enhancing your strengths, and I will help you increase
your expertise in working with a variety of clients and situations. My
goal is to be supportive of your professional development in a way that
benefits both you and your clients. At the first appointment, I will
learn about you, your skill level and your goals, and you will have a
chance to see if I am a good fit for you. If we decide to work
together, we will develop a supervision agreement that describes our
mutual responsibilities. Please contact me to find out more, or to
schedule an initial visit.Unsolicited Feedback from Clinicians
